Not all portraits are taken in the studio, and sometimes they’re taken at the spur of the moment like this one.
I took this family portrait on recent Sunday after church under a portico on the north side of the main building. North light is great natural and wraps around the subject very nicely.
Portraits don’t always have to be a big production, it all depends on your subject or client and mood they’d like to project. If you’re working with people you know fairly well, then your job will be easy because they’re already at ease with you and they will see the camera as tool of our trade.
